What to expect from Intermediate and Advanced Level Training:

As students progress they will advance to a higher level. Currently our program categorizes students by 4 levels with each level divided into an a and b section. We source the Vaganova method. Students in these levels are exposed to a variety of master classes from certified instructors specializing in the Vaganova method. At level 2 we also introduce mandatory exams to assess student development and effectiveness of teaching. Level 3 students begin targeted preparation for pointe work. They advance to level 3 b when they progress to pointe work. All level 2, 3 and 4 dancers are encouraged to engage in private coaching to supplement their class work and as preparation for competitions and auditions. At this stage we also expand their training to include contemporary and modern techniques. As students progress to level 4 we begin mentoring them as instructors for preparatory ballet and level 1.

Students advance according to their readiness. They may remain in a level for multiple years. There is no age requirement for each level. Students may remain in the conservatory program during early adult years as well.
