Aplomb Ballet Artistry proudly presents:
Holiday Refreshment Recital
Welcome to tonight’s performance.
This year marks a meaningful departure from a long-standing tradition at our studio. For more than a decade, our
students, families, and community have come together each winter to share in our production of The Nutcracker—a
work I have had the privilege of choreographing and directing throughout those years.
As I reflected on the season ahead, I felt that our dancers needed a reset: space to grow in new directions, room to
rediscover their artistry, and an opportunity to be challenged in fresh ways. I, too, wanted time to reflect, recharge,
and re-envision what this part of the year could be for our program. And I believed our community deserved to see
something different
To make that vision a reality, each of our teachers was invited to reinterpret a different section of The Nutcracker,
crafting their own choreography with their students instead of returning to the familiar. In addition, we used this
moment of transition to explore repertoire from other ballets that we rarely have the opportunity to study during this
season.
Tonight’s performance is the result: a blend of tradition and transformation, shaped by curiosity, collaboration, and
the dedication of every dancer and instructor involved. Thank you for joining us on this journey of renewal. We are
grateful for your support and excited to share this new chapter with you.
